The JOVENS DE OURO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aírton Monteiro should have stopped the shot. Werner Colvin scored 0-4 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aírton Monteiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabrizio Catapano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Porto in the 32nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Vítor Porto in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrizio Catapano saved Chuquisaca from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Chuquisaca's goalkeeper Fabrizio Catapano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrianinho Dionísio. After a defensive mix-up in JOVENS DE OURO FC's zone, Werner Colvin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Monteiro came out of the goal and Werner Colvin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute Werner Colvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Werner Colvin made the kick off in the second half. After 95th play minutes Werner Colvin shot 0-11, a short shot which went by Aírton Monteiro and just under the crossbar into goal. Chuquisaca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
