Amadeo Rainerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 36th minute, Paolo Kinsen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stamatis Ifantis. The goal made the score 2-4. Nichifor Juravschi made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Thodoris Kefaloukos immediately put the ball in play. After the first half ERGOTELIS were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 任树振 to make the kick off. The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when Copérnico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Delfino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, 任树振 managed to get in a good position for a shot. ERGOTELIS's supporters rose to their feet, but 任树振 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Rainerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ERGOTELIS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
