Mo Caso's late challenge caught a Zorros del Desierto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Lance Kuch made a precise shot to the right of Arnulfo Kinsen. Laurita FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Laurita FC's Hélder Fernandez was substituted for Esa Garcha. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Zorros del Desierto's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon-Ander Wallffiguer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Kinsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Alberto Kempes took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clark Kent. Jon-Ander Wallffiguer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Kinsen made a huge save.
