In the 13th minute Héctor-Horacio Scotta suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Ferruccio Nicolai charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After taking down the ball on Cable a Tierra's corner Milton Cascos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelio Di Luca quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Atletico San Jacopino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Paganelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Di Luca made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Milton Cascos sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amos Atroce got free with Tata Rușanu in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tata Rușanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nik Tjæder in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nik Tjæder in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tata Rușanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Atletico San Jacopino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Di Prinzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tata Rușanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nik Tjæder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Cable a Tierra players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
