The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Botafogo AP's goalkeeper José Pedro Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fritz Ernst Joinvilense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Botafogo AP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Liu Gang Jian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. José Pedro Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cadáveres Voladores's Laércio Monteiro in the 18th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but José Pedro Bertassi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Botafogo AP through an amazing save. José Pedro Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurand Zawadzki, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Cadáveres Voladores's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Kellogg came free, but Ye Yan Yu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Laércio Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pedro Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Jurand Zawadzki sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute of the game Nestor Perrando made a throw-in which Laércio Monteiro played forward. José Pedro Bertassi came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Cadáveres Voladores's Liu Gang Jian. But to his dismay, Liu Gang Jian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Liu Gang Jian came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Cadáveres Voladores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liu Gang Jian couldn't finish the play. Botafogo AP's José Pedro Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Zawadzki in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Botafogo AP getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gugu Simões hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio Monteiro got free with José Pedro Bertassi in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Cadáveres Voladores's José Pedro Bertassi threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jurand Zawadzki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute Fritz Ernst Joinvilense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ye Yan Yu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley Barral hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jurand Zawadzki took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Pedro Bertassi. José Pedro Bertassi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 59 minutes into the match, Botafogo AP's goal looked a bit too open when Liu Gang Jian came free, but José Pedro Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ye Yan Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Ernst Joinvilense in the 61st minute of play. Botafogo AP's Ademir de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shao Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro Bertassi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shao Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. Shao Chuan's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed José Pedro Bertassi - 3-0 was put on the score board in the 66th minute. The Cadáveres Voladores fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Cadáveres Voladores's Jurand Zawadzki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 76 minutes, Jurand Zawadzki made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Botafogo AP's José Pedro Bertassi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. José Pedro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Monteiro in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cadáveres Voladores's Arnaldo Firman got a free kick in the 85th minute. Botafogo AP's Edson Marquez was substituted for Adriano Fernandez. A collision led to Cadáveres Voladores getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Arnaldo Firman hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Jurand Zawadzki made a precise shot to the right of José Pedro Bertassi. Botafogo AP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Botafogo AP's Wiliam Couto was substituted for Fritz Ernst Joinvilense. 94 minutes into the game, Cadáveres Voladores's Jurand Zawadzki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Pedro Bertassi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cadáveres Voladores fans cheered their team off the field, for while Botafogo AP had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
