Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tiburcio Ereinotz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee gave Reconquistense FC a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. Tiburcio Ereinotz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Medina in the 44th minute of play. But to his dismay, Alcino Jesus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
