The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Simion in the 4th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Eric Simion heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Mevlüt Tacir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Simion during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eric Simion hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Yngve Örtendahl almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Carlos Baptista did a great save. Mevlüt Tacir took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tor Echegoyen. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mevlüt Tacir got free with Tor Echegoyen in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32ndth minute of the game Mevlüt Tacir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chute de Ouro FC's Tor Echegoyen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chute de Ouro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Şafak Uysal was slow to take the kick. During this time ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's players had a chance to rest. After 34 played minutes Chute de Ouro FC got a freekick which was hit by Yngve Örtendahl. Şafak Uysal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Chute de Ouro FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Naldo Godoi hit a great ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Mevlüt Tacir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mevlüt Tacir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Simões in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Mevlüt Tacir made the kick off in the second half. Tor Echegoyen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mevlüt Tacir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 56 minutes, Eric Simion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chute de Ouro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Simion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
