With his leg Christoffer Modig managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Degerfors IF's Kristian Brodin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oakcroft Thrashers's Hugo Hellgren managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guto Gomes in the 33 minute of the game. Oakcroft Thrashers's Svante Gustafsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastian Sandberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Henrik Nordlund got a free kick in the 36th minute. Sebastian Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Wright in the 40th minute of the match. The Degerfors IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oakcroft Thrashers were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian Wright made a kick off. Christoffer Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Brodin, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svante Gustafsson got free with Sebastian Sandberg in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
