Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Hermínio Vinhas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Enrique Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Spencer, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 19 minutes of play, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Alberto Spencer made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hadi Zamani went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Enrique Freire made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Zé Augusto Secco sent off a good shot on target. Hadi Zamani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Salgado having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Lindholm came free, but Egídio Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hadi Zamani kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Augusto Secco got free with Enrique Freire in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hadi Zamani in the 39th minute of play forced ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s goalkeeper Egídio Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Egídio Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Lindholm in the 41st minute of play. Egídio Salgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hadi Zamani's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Spencer in the 44th minute of play forced S.E. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to S.E. Palmeiras getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Cristiano Antunes hit a great ball. Alberto Spencer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Freire having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the game, Hadi Zamani recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Egídio Salgado. Hadi Zamani showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S.E. Palmeiras's performance. The match ended with a win for S.E. Palmeiras.
