Pitxu Dream Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jon Eklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Pitxu Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Eklund came free, but Carles Coppola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Pitxu Dream Team defense, Evren Düden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carles Coppola. The Pitxu Dream Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carles Coppola should have stopped the shot. Godfredo Teruel made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tõnn Okapuu immediately put the ball in play. Aleksander Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xose Ruiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Metalducks's Aleksander Engström got control of the ball when Rolando Quijana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aleksander Engström made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Rolando Quijana sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Metalducks were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Metalducks's Aleksander Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xose Ruiz in the 78th minute of play. Metalducks's Greger Skröder was substituted for Jon Eklund.
