The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mete Uyguner kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ignacio Parra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todd Gronow's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Todd Gronow might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Parra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Todd Gronow ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Real Llull de Reus's goal looked a bit too open when Todd Gronow came free, but Ignacio Parra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Inaki Mirabal got a free kick in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Todd Gronow cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ignacio Parra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, Dadá Maravilha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abelardo Janpier. The goal made the score 1-1. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC from getting a goal against them. After 30 played minutes Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Foro. Dadá Maravilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inaki Mirabal kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Real Llull de Reus booed when Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Kolbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Maravilha took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Janpier. Abelardo Janpier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Todd Gronow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ignacio Parra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Gronow in the 52nd minute of the match. Qin Xiao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Abelardo Janpier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Janpier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Lamberto Bencoiechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Janpier was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Nafarroa in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Parra saved Real Llull de Reus from getting behind. Ignacio Parra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hipolito Nafarroa's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamberto Bencoiechea in the 91st minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Real Llull de Reus players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
