Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoffer Blomqvist in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tayfun Tanfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Christoffer Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to MILLONARIOS FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Teofilo Goitia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Žydrūnas Pauža in the 12th minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Žydrūnas Pauža's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Prior was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Melchazadec Rosal charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melchazadec Rosal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MarineerS FK booed when MILLONARIOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchazadec Rosal didn't get a good kick on the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Baladi Ribalta heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 47 played minutes MILLONARIOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Kepa Barajo. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Žydrūnas Pauža stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Goitia's late challenge caught a MarineerS FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilo Goitia helped the player get up and apologised. Angelo Prior made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Erik Haaland sent off a good shot on target. Fadıl Hünerli charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fadıl Hünerli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tayfun Tanfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Blomqvist in the 55th minute of the match. Fadıl Hünerli was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when MarineerS FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fadıl Hünerli didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Baladi Ribalta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tayfun Tanfer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Christoffer Blomqvist struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Tayfun Tanfer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MILLONARIOS FC. MILLONARIOS FC's Juan Corredor was substituted for Christoffer Blomqvist. MILLONARIOS FC's Jozef Kloots was substituted for Rafael Jauregui. MarineerS FK's Tayfun Tanfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Corredor in the 78th minute of play. Ilias Tsembelis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the MarineerS FK defense, Juan Corredor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tayfun Tanfer. The MarineerS FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tayfun Tanfer should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Emrah Dolunay in the 83rd minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jozef Kloots in the 84th minute of play forced MarineerS FK's goalkeeper Tayfun Tanfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Federico Errazquin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tayfun Tanfer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. MILLONARIOS FC's Kepa Barajo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Žydrūnas Pauža in the 88 minute of the game. When Žydrūnas Pauža came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the MarineerS FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Žydrūnas Pauža couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Goitia kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. MILLONARIOS FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MarineerS FK for a fine match.
