An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Ecija in the 15th minute of play forced El Renacer del Quijano FC's goalkeeper Andres Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Teobaldo Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Bertin Gandia sped through El Renacer del Quijano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andres Lastur.
