Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Tio Lio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Agustín Rossi. Tio Lio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Tony Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Capello in the 15th minute of play. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pacheco in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes in the game Hipolito Emenon did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tio Lio. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Glen Conklin hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match CJ Asensio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremy Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tio Lio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Agustín Rossi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in New England Minas's zone, Cipriano Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal and Cipriano Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Los Trip was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alphonse Winnepennincks to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Alperen Öksüz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Agustín Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Capello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tio Lio kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tio Lio in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Alperen Öksüz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Trip's Jacinto Frasquito got a free kick in the 56th minute. Agustín Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Pacheco's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Tio Lio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Tio Lio came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in New England Minas's zone, Bruno Capello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal and Bruno Capello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. New England Minas made a substitution. Jörgen Frohm replaced Conny Tingberg. In the 71stth minute of the game Edgardo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Trip's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Pacheco came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barcas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Jeremy Nicholas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 81st minute Los Trip were awarded a corner. CJ Asensio went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Los Trip's corner CJ Asensio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeremy Nicholas quite easily take care of the ball. Jacinto Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Los Trip's Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Los Trip's zone, Oscar Nordmark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustín Rossi came out of the goal and Oscar Nordmark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New England Minas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Trip had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
