Thanks to some nice moves Su Xu Xi could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Vellito Alguerdo however easily saved by the left post. Vellito Alguerdo made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Su Xu Xi sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Vellito Alguerdo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 23 minutes NAGANO F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was August Bratt who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, NAGANO F.C's Vellito Alguerdo got control of the ball when Su Xu Xi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute of the game NAGANO F.C's Pertti Koskenkorva made a superb shot at goal which Fernado Alves with some effort managed to grab by the crossbar. Jari Alenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jari Alenius in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernado Alves saved Unione Sportiva from getting behind. Fernado Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jari Alenius went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Kimon Yfantis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Carles Cannavaro fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unione Sportiva's protests and gave Carles Cannavaro a yellow card for diving instead. Thorbjörn Hong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jari Alenius made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, NAGANO F.C's Thorbjörn Hong got a free kick in the 51st minute. Vellito Alguerdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Su Xu Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jari Alenius in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernado Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute, Jari Alenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernado Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 73 minutes into the game, Unione Sportiva's Su Xu Xi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vellito Alguerdo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. In the 86th minute, Clodoveo Weather hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to NAGANO F.C getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Clodoveo Weather hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes, Unione Sportiva's Cassiano Vilas Boas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vellito Alguerdo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unione Sportiva reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Batistuta in the 94th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Fernado Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Batistuta in the 94th minute of play. The Unione Sportiva supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching NAGANO F.C's performance. The match ended with a win for NAGANO F.C.
