Robert Davison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tymoteusz Jajko in the 5th minute of the match. Nick Armitage hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Poland got a corner. Scotland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lech Pisarcik ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Poland's corner Gilbert Cipinski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Robert Davison quite easily take care of the ball. Scotland's Robert Davison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Scotland from getting a goal against them. Tymoteusz Jajko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Davison stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tymoteusz Jajko's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the Scotland defense, Tymoteusz Jajko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Davison. The Scotland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Davison should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Scotland getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Graeme Gordon hit a great ball. The supporters of Poland booed when Scotland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Armitage didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Davison didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tymoteusz Jajko went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tymoteusz Jajko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tymoteusz Jajko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Davison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Nick Armitage made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Poland's Grzegorz Soszka. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scotland's goalkeeper Robert Davison, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Poland got a freekick which was hit by Pawel Dawidowicz. In the 61st minute, Graeme Gordon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Poland's Konstanty Janiczek made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Davison was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, Scotland's Ronan McCunn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Boruc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Calum McKechnie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scotland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poland the free kick. Konstanty Janiczek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konstanty Janiczek in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Davison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 minutes of play, Poland's Konstanty Janiczek made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Davison was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konstanty Janiczek in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Poland fully deserved thier win.
