The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. József Elek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrinho Guimarães came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Szombathely Squirrels's Vince Sós. But to his dismay, Vince Sós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pedrinho Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márton Zentay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's László Tunyogi got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Márcio Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Márcio Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebestyén Király breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 minutes, Célio Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanheiro SC and the Szombathely Squirrels players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Célio Vianna got a free kick in the 25th minute. Anísio Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anísio Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Castanheiro SC's Sebestyén Király threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Umberto Dionísio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Umberto Dionísio took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebestyén Király. Sebestyén Király dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Umberto Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Sebestyén Király made a huge save. When Anísio Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio Alagoano couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, József Elek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the game, Sándor Győrffy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szombathely Squirrels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. In the 45th minute of the match Anísio Alagoano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebestyén Király showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Castanheiro SC's Anísio Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
When Vince Sós fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szombathely Squirrels's protests and gave Vince Sós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Sós to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgílio Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Szombathely Squirrels fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebestyén Király should have stopped the shot. Vince Sós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Guimarães having to interfere. József Elek charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed József Elek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Vince Sós kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedrinho Guimarães. That made the score 2-3 in the 70 minute of play. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miklós Sinkó didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Umberto Dionísio notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Sebestyén Király. Sebestyén Király was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vince Sós kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Sebestyén Király showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Márcio Abreu struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sebestyén Király didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. László Tunyogi lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Szombathely Squirrels! When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Umberto Dionísio sped through Szombathely Squirrels's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebestyén Király. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Castanheiro SC fully deserved thier win.
