Alvaro Valente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Dolar Blue Ψ's zone, Gabriele Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Valente came out of the goal and Gabriele Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriele Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Valente having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Federico Llorenc in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Menchu FC's Siro Osasun. In the 27th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Dolar Blue Ψ defense, Gabriele Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Valente. The Dolar Blue Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Valente should have stopped the shot. Abdoulay Doucouré's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Valente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, George Grönlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aitor Branca in the 35th minute of the match. Dolar Blue Ψ's Federico Llorenc managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Siro Osasun in the 45 minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aitor Branca to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Dolar Blue Ψ's Lewis Tearle got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Ezequiel Dayam put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Dolar Blue Ψ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Menchu FC:s goal. In the 62nd minute, Federico Llorenc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menchu FC made a substitution. Herbert Pilarski replaced Peter Söderqwist. Menchu FC's Mayer Candelo was substituted for Uriel Gorri. If Gabriele Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriele Batistuta in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Valente saved Dolar Blue Ψ from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Mayer Candelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Chano in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Chano in the 93rd minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Chano came free, but Camilo Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menchu FC's Silverio Sergi was substituted for Siro Osasun. The corner led Dolar Blue Ψ's Lewis Tearle to fire away a dangerous shot which Camilo Salvidor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Menchu FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dolar Blue Ψ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
