The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Bloodthirsty FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Kleen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Barreto in the 4th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper 曾瑜亦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Bloodthirsty FC defense, Zachary Kiszkiel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 曾瑜亦. The Bloodthirsty FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 曾瑜亦 should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute Ismael Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 曾瑜亦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 曾瑜亦 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zachary Kiszkiel went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Joaquín Vásquez scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 曾瑜亦, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vincent Fredriksson during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Los Payasitos booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Fredriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Los Payasitos were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 顾笑源 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Los Payasitos getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Eduardo Coyences tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
