Dan Kjellman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacek Ptaszek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Dan Kjellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Kjellman got free with Jacek Ptaszek in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Kjellman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Artur Mendes in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by En avant de guingamp's Victoriano Tavio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Kjellman in the 52nd minute of play forced En avant de guingamp's goalkeeper Jacek Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Iwan Valentijn replaced Aristides Gombal. The throw-in from Victoriano Tavio in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Bal op het Dak's John-Paul Locatelli. In the 61st minute, En avant de guingamp's Ni Jun Liang ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurício Bomba. Maurício Bomba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Martijn August replaced Dan Kjellman. FC Bal op het Dak's Nico Hagenouw was substituted for Válbson Almeida. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martijn August in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacek Ptaszek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Bal op het Dak's Maurício Bomba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bal op het Dak from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Artur Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
