With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prospero Petri in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Taffarel saved Racing Club【LBF】 from getting behind. Prospero Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Racing Club【LBF】 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Manuel Marchidan hit a great ball. When Leo Chesus came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Patay Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Chesus couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel got control of the ball when Prospero Petri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cláudio Taffarel was a little too slow when Prospero Petri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prospero Petri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cedric Ceballos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Patay Juniors's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tito Gilabert 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. In the 62nd minute, Leo Chesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Petri in the 65th minute of play forced Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atilano Eufemio's late challenge caught a Patay Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atilano Eufemio helped the player get up and apologised. Racing Club【LBF】's Severino Jatsu was substituted for Tito Gilabert. After 69 played minutes Racing Club【LBF】 got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Eufemio. Alfredo Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cayetano Francho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Petri in the 76th minute of play forced Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Prospero Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Petri in the 86th minute of the match. When Patay Juniors's Prospero Petri in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
