With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Tadeusz Marosz got control of the ball when Patrick Vander tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Maxime Vrints's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Taffarel was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 8th minute, União Verde FC's Agnaldo Tinoco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Agnaldo Tinoco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of União Verde FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Agnaldo Tinoco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 9th minute, Agnaldo Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Maxime Vrints notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of União Verde FC's Francisco Taffarel. Francisco Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 39 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeus Segebrecht came free, but Francisco Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeus Segebrecht went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, Maxime Vrints notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of União Verde FC's Francisco Taffarel. Francisco Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hardi Tornau in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Luka Krumrei made the kick off in the second half. Maxime Vrints could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Francisco Taffarel made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Ragnar Gut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Krumrei in the 56th minute of play. Francisco Taffarel was a little too slow when Luka Krumrei got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-8. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Mathias Veigel replaced Ralph Wickede. Luka Krumrei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. União Verde FC's Francisco Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save União Verde FC from getting a goal against them. Francisco Taffarel came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints. But to his dismay, Maxime Vrints quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Luka Krumrei took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Francisco Taffarel to make any attempt to save it. 96 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goalkeeper Francisco Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxime Vrints. Francisco Taffarel was a little too slow when Maxime Vrints got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-14.
