In the 7th minute Leo Bean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Marosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Academica Pulheim defense, Leo Bean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeusz Marosz. The Academica Pulheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeusz Marosz should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Heavenly Hooters's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Giermann came free, but Will Goldthorpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Will Goldthorpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxime Vrints in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Bean to maneuver through the defense. Todd Griffiths came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tadeusz Marosz could save by the left post. In the 40th minute, Hardi Tornau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 44th minute, Romeo Giermann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Will Goldthorpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Bean in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeusz Marosz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Academica Pulheim's Carl Kröger was substituted for Amadeus Segebrecht. Will Goldthorpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardi Tornau in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Krumrei in the 54th minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Will Goldthorpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Romeo Giermann took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Will Goldthorpe to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Heavenly Hooters's Will Goldthorpe got control of the ball when Maxime Vrints tried to sneak it across the goal line. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Mathias Veigel replaced Ralph Wickede. Will Goldthorpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Giermann in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Academica Pulheim's Luka Krumrei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. 79 minutes into the match, Heavenly Hooters's goal looked a bit too open when Hardi Tornau came free, but Will Goldthorpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Carl Kröger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Will Goldthorpe. Heavenly Hooters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carl Kröger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Heavenly Hooters's Felix Hitchcock was substituted for Lauras Maslauskas. Heavenly Hooters's Lico Aldazabal was substituted for Ashley Wiseman. 85 minutes into the match, Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Will Goldthorpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxime Vrints. Carl Kröger might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Will Goldthorpe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Kröger ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Heavenly Hooters's Will Goldthorpe got control of the ball when Maxime Vrints tried to sneak it across the goal line. Will Goldthorpe made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Hardi Tornau sent off a good shot on target. The Heavenly Hooters fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Academica Pulheim were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
