Retumbante FC's Apat Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Yue Zhen in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's Deng Yue Zhen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apat Reina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Deng Yue Zhen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apat Reina was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Michel de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Retumbante FC's protests and gave Michel de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Michel de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25thth minute of the game Deng Yue Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retumbante FC's Apat Reina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deng Yue Zhen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apat Reina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match, José Paulo Mendonça got a very nice opportunity to score, but Petr Čech was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deng Yue Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apat Reina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deng Yue Zhen's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Retumbante FC's Michel de Queirós got a free kick in the 41st minute. Retumbante FC's Apat Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Yue Zhen in the 45th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play Retumbante FC's Michel de Queirós was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 47th match minute, Retumbante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Retumbante FC's Naldo Sabóia was substituted for Basílio Cearense. Retumbante FC made a substitution. Luiz Fernando Mota replaced Danilo Nogueira. Michel de Queirós hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deng Yue Zhen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deng Yue Zhen in the 56th minute of play forced Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Epaminondas Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vânderson Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Belmiro Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Čech having to interfere. If Kauã Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Mello in the 76th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Batalhão do Peçanha's Deng Yue Zhen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Apat Reina. That made the score 1-3 after 78 minutes of play. In the 81st minute Kauã Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Batalhão do Peçanha's Deng Yue Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apat Reina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After 91 minutes of play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Deng Yue Zhen made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apat Reina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Apat Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deng Yue Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Deng Yue Zhen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apat Reina having to make a save. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deng Yue Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Batalhão do Peçanha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Batalhão do Peçanha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
