After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Melchor Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Spartak Moscow's supporters rose to their feet, but Melchor Gonzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebiu Tender breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tigres UANL's Eusebiu Tender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Gonzo in the 20th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Melchor Gonzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebiu Tender was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tigres UANL's Eusebiu Tender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Gonzo in the 26th minute of play. Melchor Gonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eusebiu Tender tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Gonzo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusebiu Tender prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the game, Melchor Gonzo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eusebiu Tender was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eusebiu Tender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Abadie in the 44th minute of play. Carlos Gonzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusebiu Tender read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anier Efraim made a kick off. Melchor Gonzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Eusebiu Tender made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Placido Miro during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Placido Miro kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Serafin Raebert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Colas having to interfere. Tigres UANL's Samuel Etxahun was substituted for Anier Efraim. Damaso Liher hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Samuel Etxahun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Damaso Liher notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Tigres UANL's Eusebiu Tender. Eusebiu Tender was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
