In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tijuana futbol Crew's goalkeeper Anfilogino Gismondi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 11 minutes, Salim De Clercq made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tijuana futbol Crew's Anfilogino Gismondi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When AztecGold's Salim De Clercq in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. AztecGold's Gunvald Barnholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Gaizkine in the 32nd minute of play. Mehran Ämrahov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Anfilogino Gismondi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salim De Clercq succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 38th playminute. Anfilogino Gismondi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salim De Clercq, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salim De Clercq stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AztecGold's Calvin Eicke quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alejandro Hernandez, made in the 50th minute of the game. Calvin Eicke struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Anfilogino Gismondi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AztecGold. Anfilogino Gismondi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AztecGold's Salim De Clercq shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Mehran Ämrahov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejandro Hernandez during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AztecGold booed when Tijuana futbol Crew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Ruy made in the 95th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Maximiliano Eguntsenti immediately put the ball in play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AztecGold had played much better football throughout.
