In the 9th minute, Club Universidad Nacional's Steffen Gimlinge ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dobromir Szarmach. Dobromir Szarmach yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Steffen Gimlinge came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Club Universidad Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Gimlinge couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Steffen Gimlinge reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dobromir Szarmach. The goal made the score 2-0. After 23 played minutes Club Universidad Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Paublo. Steffen Gimlinge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, • REGINA •'s Dobromir Szarmach got control of the ball when Steffen Gimlinge tried to sneak it across the goal line. • REGINA •'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Steffen Gimlinge scored to the left of an out of position Dobromir Szarmach, making the score, 3-0. In the 32nd minute, Steffen Gimlinge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, • REGINA •'s goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Gimlinge came free, but Dobromir Szarmach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoud de Pelsmakere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Anderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Steffen Gimlinge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnoud de Pelsmakere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Anderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Dobromir Szarmach had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Steffen Gimlinge's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Laureano Primeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a huge save. Steffen Gimlinge might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dobromir Szarmach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliciano Frans struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Dobromir Szarmach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Universidad Nacional. Gilberto Gabirel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a huge save. Club Universidad Nacional were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of • REGINA • for a fine match.
