The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Genílson Loyola made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Eusebio Beltran sent off a good shot on target. Iker Urti hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The goal made the score 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Gabriel came free, but Oswaldo Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Urti kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Genílson Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Águilas Poblanas's Eusebio Beltran got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Yucatan F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Sansone to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Eusebio Beltran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Águilas Poblanas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Beltran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yucatan F.C. made a substitution. Abel Lugo replaced Victor Gartzen. In the 83rd minute, Eusebio Beltran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águilas Poblanas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The supporters of Yucatan F.C. booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Txindoki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Eusebio Beltran notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Yucatan F.C.'s Genílson Loyola. Genílson Loyola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucjan Gollob hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Murillo made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Cosme Sansone sent off a good shot on target. Cui Chen Feng kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Genílson Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 98th minute of play. Yucatan F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
