After 3 minutes, Wilber Santana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Revelación and the Southport players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 5 minutes, Mauro Salguero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Salguero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Félix Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th match minute, Southport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Medrano to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Cerna's late challenge caught a Revelación's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Cerna helped the player get up and apologised. Mauro Salguero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Manuel Liborio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Liborio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Salguero, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Salguero in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Liborio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Libardo Cerna came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Revelación fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Libardo Cerna couldn't finish the play. Southport's Mauro Salguero got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Revelación got a freekick which was hit by Wilber Santana. If Edgar Dubon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Southport's Mauro Salguero got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edwin Bautista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruben Velis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 51 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Revelación's zone, Mauro Salguero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Liborio came out of the goal and Mauro Salguero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Liborio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Dubon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Félix Mora elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Southport's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Salguero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Liborio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edgar Dubon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Salguero in the 87th minute of play forced Revelación's goalkeeper Manuel Liborio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Umanzor charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Umanzor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 92 minutes into the game, one of Revelación:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Revelación:s Manuel Liborio showed great skill when he stopped Enrique Rico:s penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Libardo Cerna got free with Edwin Bautista in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Southport supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Revelación's performance. The match ended with a win for Revelación.
