Pedro Gallegos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Camberley City's Pedro Gallegos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Huezo in the 13th minute of play. Camberley City's Deris Molina got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shawn Peña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deris Molina, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrés Escalante during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Benjamín Cerritos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hammersmith's Shawn Peña didn't even have to move. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hammersmith fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Benjamín Cerritos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Pedro Gallegos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roberto Reyes. If Victorino Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Parada's late challenge caught a Camberley City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Parada helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Hammersmith was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Parada to maneuver through the defense. Victorino Gallardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Peña having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deris Molina made a kick off. Henry Huezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hammersmith's Shawn Peña proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Hammersmith from getting a goal against them. Orlando Parada hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Deris Molina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camberley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Deris Molina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shawn Peña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Gallegos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Huezo in the 74th minute of play. Victorino Gallardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Shawn Peña made a huge save. Shawn Peña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deris Molina, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Deris Molina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Huezo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hammersmith's zone, Deris Molina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shawn Peña came out of the goal and Deris Molina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute Henry Huezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Gallegos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Huezo in the 96th minute of play forced Camberley City's goalkeeper Pedro Gallegos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Camberley City players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
