The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ulises Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Alexis Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Weir AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Villanueva came free, but Allan Cetino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Milton Fuentes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Allan Cetino. Weir AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Milton Fuentes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Antonio Bermudez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Efren Uranga. Félix Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Antonio Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilber Prado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Antonio Bermudez made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, Alexis Villanueva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Allan Cetino. Weir AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexis Villanueva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. From close distance Wilber Prado pressed in the 1-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 33 minutes into the game. After 38 played minutes Skipton got a freekick which was hit by Will Contrera. In the 41st minute of the match Weir AFC got a corner. Skipton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waldir Jimenez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Weir AFC's Ulises Gutierrez getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jonathan Hurtado charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Hurtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Skipton getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jonathan Hurtado hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alexis Villanueva made the kick off in the second half. Allan Cetino made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Milton Fuentes sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Skipton getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Will Contrera hit a great ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skipton's goalkeeper Antonio Bermudez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexis Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Wilber Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Bermudez having to interfere. Allan Cetino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis Villanueva's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Wilber Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Antonio Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Weir AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Escalante to maneuver through the defense. Weir AFC's Allan Cetino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Villanueva in the 84th minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Alexis Villanueva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Allan Cetino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexis Villanueva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alexis Villanueva came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Skipton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexis Villanueva couldn't finish the play. The Weir AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Skipton's performance. The match ended with a win for Skipton.
