Momo Colo C.F's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrei Paniagua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Andrei Paniagua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but David Loaiza made a huge save. David Loaiza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pingones FC booed when Momo Colo C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Vega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Michael Oses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Jonny Brenes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Pingones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Mata to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Pingones FC's zone, Jonny Brenes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmer Arrieta came out of the goal and Jonny Brenes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irvin Quiros in the 29th minute of play forced Pingones FC's goalkeeper Elmer Arrieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Rohrmoser took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elmer Arrieta. Elmer Arrieta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Irvin Quiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Momo Colo C.F's supporters rose to their feet, but Irvin Quiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmer Arrieta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes Pingones FC got a freekick which was hit by Berny Echeverri. If Jonny Brenes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andrei Paniagua came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Pingones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Paniagua couldn't finish the play. David Loaiza came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Pingones FC's Andrei Paniagua. But to his dismay, Andrei Paniagua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Elmer Arrieta made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Irvin Quiros sent off a good shot on target. Irvin Quiros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Elmer Arrieta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Giovanni Paniagua scored 4-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Loaiza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pingones FC's Buenaventura Peña was substituted for Luis Mejias. Pingones FC's Salvador Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Irvin Quiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elmer Arrieta. The goal made the score 4-2. A collision led to Pingones FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Andrei Paniagua hit a great ball. Jonny Brenes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Elmer Arrieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Uriel Quesada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Oses charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Oses the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Michael Oses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jonny Brenes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pingones FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. With his leg Elmer Arrieta managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Momo Colo C.F's Irvin Quiros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Pingones FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
