The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Lobo got free with Bernardo Arias in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Soto came free, but Bebeto de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Frank Soto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmer Lozano in the 14th minute of play. After 20 played minutes LinuX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Minor Godinez. Bebeto de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Mena in the 24th minute of the match. Bebeto de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Minor Godinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Lobo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. LinuX F.C.'s Bernardo Arias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save LinuX F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Alfonso Mena fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LinuX F.C.'s protests and gave Alfonso Mena a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, LinuX F.C.'s Alfonso Mena got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute Frank Soto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Barrantes to make the kick off. Bernardo Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Madriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Walter Centeno thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Bebeto de Senna, a very annoying self made goal in the 77th minute which led to 1-1. Isidro Madriz scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Arias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as LinuX F.C.'s Elmer Lozano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bebeto de Senna. That made the score 3-2 after 91 minutes of play. Bebeto de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmer Lozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmer Lozano in the 96th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Bebeto de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manrique Cisneros kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CS La Libertad had played much better football throughout.
