PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Valassiou in the 3rd minute of play. Nikos Valassiou's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Macho Thome skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Ferdinant Ponk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PITIN SPORT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinant Ponk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Hernandez hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Pablo Derock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Derock came free, but Bebeto de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Lobo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Macho Thome made a huge save. The supporters of CS La Libertad booed when PITIN SPORT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Barbu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikos Valassiou scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Macho Thome, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Macho Thome stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikos Valassiou's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Bebeto de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinant Ponk in the 32nd minute of play. In the 38th minute, Pablo Derock made a precise shot to the right of Bebeto de Senna. CS La Libertad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Rodrigo Lobo could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Macho Thome however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in CS La Libertad's zone, David Hernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto de Senna came out of the goal and David Hernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinant Ponk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto de Senna having to interfere. Macho Thome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Millot, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikos Valassiou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, CS La Libertad's Bebeto de Senna got control of the ball when Pablo Derock tried to sneak it across the goal line. PITIN SPORT's Pablo Derock got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdinant Ponk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto de Senna having to interfere. CS La Libertad made a substitution. Manrique Cisneros replaced Gerardo Millot. CS La Libertad made a substitution. Isidro Madriz replaced Rodrigo Lobo. Macho Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manrique Cisneros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ferdinant Ponk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Macho Thome came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by CS La Libertad's Isidro Madriz. But to his dismay, Isidro Madriz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
