Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Gonzáles in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erubiel Feyjo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute of the match Marco Masses shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erubiel Feyjo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Antonio Gonzáles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Erubiel Feyjo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Prejun Salgado struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Mincho Busvidad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Alianza Lima. If Prejun Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ongile Camaño kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ramond Graus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mincho Busvidad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prejun Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Prejun Salgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mincho Busvidad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Panpili Tercero charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panpili Tercero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes FC Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Panpili Tercero. 40 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Club Deportivo Ilo's Antonio Gonzáles fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Antonio Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Feyjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Montae Cubillo in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prejun Salgado was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prejun Salgado in the 55th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Ilo's goalkeeper Mincho Busvidad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, FC Alianza Lima's Oihenarte Cascajares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mincho Busvidad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, FC Alianza Lima's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Gonzáles came free, but Erubiel Feyjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Feyjo came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Ilo's Antonio Gonzáles. But to his dismay, Antonio Gonzáles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Erubiel Feyjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Gonzáles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Bidari Barril hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Oihenarte Cascajares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Alianza Lima and the Club Deportivo Ilo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, FC Alianza Lima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oihenarte Cascajares to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute Antonio Gonzáles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Feyjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erubiel Feyjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Montae Cubillo in the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Alianza Lima's Albino Vidaurre got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute Antonio Gonzáles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Feyjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Alianza Lima's zone, Montae Cubillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Feyjo came out of the goal and Montae Cubillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Montae Cubillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Erubiel Feyjo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Antonio Gonzáles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erubiel Feyjo was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
