When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kinsen Correduria sped through Macheteros's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cordero Gomara. Kinsen Correduria might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cordero Gomara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kinsen Correduria ran back to his position shaking his head. Cordero Gomara came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cheques's Kinsen Correduria. But to his dismay, Kinsen Correduria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 1-2 became the score in the 16th minute when Eguntsenti Llano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Cheques's Kinsen Correduria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cordero Gomara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Baumer Figueras kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Eguntsenti Llano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Xicu Millares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Viñuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordero Gomara having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Kinsen Correduria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordero Gomara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Modestio Gilavert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macheteros's supporters rose to their feet, but Modestio Gilavert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xicu Millares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Eguntsenti Llano came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Macheteros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eguntsenti Llano couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eguntsenti Llano to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Graham Püttmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Modestio Gilavert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Cheques got a freekick which was hit by Gervaso Senderos. When Eguntsenti Llano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Macheteros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eguntsenti Llano couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the game, Manolo Lerdo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheques's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macheteros the free kick. Macheteros's Alfonso Muzquiz suffered a sore thigh after 68 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Roger Viñuela charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Viñuela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cordero Gomara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kinsen Correduria in the 71st minute of the match. After 73 played minutes, Cheques's Txordon Aballe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cordero Gomara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cheques reached it. If Roger Viñuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kinsen Correduria in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cordero Gomara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Macheteros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cheques:s goal. Manolo Lerdo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Argenis Trasagua kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Kinsen Correduria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kinsen Correduria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cordero Gomara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Argenis Trasagua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cheques walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
