Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mario Pintado started the match with the kick off. Patapon FC's Ernesto Viesca got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patapon FC's Galindo Llain was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Patapon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Pintado came free, but Abel Villapadierna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costante Albaratay in the 15th minute of play forced Patapon FC's goalkeeper Abel Villapadierna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jabier Viedes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ambrosio Marentos having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, Patapon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Pintado came free, but Abel Villapadierna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Universitario FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xulio Tamajon in the 21st minute. The corner led to Universitario FC's Raulo Urueña getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Cruz Ochandiano came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Universitario FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cruz Ochandiano couldn't finish the play. Jabier Viedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galindo Llain's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Ambrosio Marentos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raulo Urueña during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Universitario FC got a freekick which was hit by Raulo Urueña. After having played for 42 minutes, Galindo Llain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patapon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Galindo Llain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jabier Viedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Marentos having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Patapon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cruz Ochandiano came free, but Abel Villapadierna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Galindo Llain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Universitario FC's zone, Galindo Llain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Marentos came out of the goal and Galindo Llain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Marentos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jabier Viedes in the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Patapon FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Goizeder Cotobal hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Costante Albaratay notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Patapon FC's Abel Villapadierna. Abel Villapadierna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61stth minute of the game Galindo Llain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universitario FC's Ambrosio Marentos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abel Villapadierna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Pintado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Universitario FC's Nemesio Collado got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute, Katia Poladura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Mario Pintado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Villapadierna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cruz Ochandiano succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. If Mario Pintado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Patapon FC's goalkeeper Abel Villapadierna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cruz Ochandiano. Abel Villapadierna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Pintado in the 93rd minute of the match. The Universitario FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
