An unexpectedly hard shot by Xerardo Arista in the 9th minute of play forced Green Lanterns United's goalkeeper Reasco Avendaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Tabares's late challenge caught a Hogwarts FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Tabares helped the player get up and apologised. Urtsua Requenes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Green Lanterns United booed when Hogwarts FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Arrechea didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Green Lanterns United getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Martin Armentia hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Xurde Bances with Urtsua Requenes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Ortiz Sanjuan came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Hogwarts FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ortiz Sanjuan couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes Green Lanterns United got a freekick which was hit by Urtsua Requenes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mendoza Victoria in the 33rd minute of play forced Hogwarts FC's goalkeeper Myles Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mendoza Victoria ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dwight Yorke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Xerardo Arista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reasco Avendaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Dwight Yorke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Reasco Avendaño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Green Lanterns United's zone, Rodrigo Rosello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reasco Avendaño came out of the goal and Rodrigo Rosello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hogwarts FC's Myles Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mendoza Victoria in the 69th minute of play. Ricart Beamud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reasco Avendaño having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Hogwarts FC's Xerardo Arista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reasco Avendaño made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Hogwarts FC's Dwight Yorke in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xerardo Arista couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Xerardo Arista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hogwarts FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
