Spectators: 8010 (Terracing: 6009, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) In the 6th minute, Pucarsol SC's Rolando Hondona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johan Högman. Johan Högman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Rodas Toro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.S. Emelec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pucarsol SC the free kick. After 12 played minutes C.S. Emelec got a freekick which was hit by Nasos Vavatsikos. When Barnaba Hatman fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.S. Emelec's protests and gave Barnaba Hatman a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Johan Högman, was totally fooled by Pucarsol SC's Rolando Hondona, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rubén Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Högman having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Rolando Mendez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johan Högman. Rolando Mendez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Simon Lantaron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Högman having to interfere. Johan Högman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Mendez in the 32nd minute of play. Nasos Vavatsikos was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Pucarsol SC booed when C.S. Emelec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasos Vavatsikos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johan Högman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Hondona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johan Högman came out and tried to block the shot, but Rolando Hondona slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 38th minute. After 47 minutes of play, Pucarsol SC's Rolando Hondona made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johan Högman was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodas Toro made a kick off. Rolando Mendez scored 6-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johan Högman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, C.S. Emelec's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Mendez came free, but Johan Högman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Aurelio Garoña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Högman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pucarsol SC booed when C.S. Emelec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucílio Raposo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodas Toro kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. C.S. Emelec's Johan Högman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Lantaron in the 69th minute of play. Johan Högman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Lantaron in the 71st minute of play. Johan Högman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. C.S. Emelec's Johan Högman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Hondona in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Lantaron in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johan Högman saved C.S. Emelec from getting behind. Rolando Mendez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johan Högman having to make a save. Johan Högman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Hondona in the 77th minute of play. Johan Högman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Hondona in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Rolando Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Högman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the C.S. Emelec defense, Rubén Pacheco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johan Högman. The C.S. Emelec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Högman should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Simon Lantaron notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of C.S. Emelec's Johan Högman. Johan Högman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pucarsol SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
