But to his dismay, Krikorian Carbezo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Krikorian Carbezo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Juan Gabilondo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Krikorian Carbezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Mauro Salvado took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Juan Gabilondo to make any attempt to save it. Eusebio Aranzubia might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Gabilondo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Aranzubia ran back to his position shaking his head. Krikorian Carbezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Juan Gabilondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariscal Sucre's Juan Gabilondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Mariscal Sucre from getting a goal against them. 4-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Krikorian Carbezo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Krikorian Carbezo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Barcelona Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krikorian Carbezo couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Mariscal Sucre's goalkeeper Juan Gabilondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krikorian Carbezo. With his leg Juan Gabilondo managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Barcelona Sporting Club's Krikorian Carbezo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Juan Gabilondo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marlon Berzosa went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yépez Francia made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Barcelona Sporting Club's Eusebio Aranzubia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Gabilondo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. When Xose Balbanea fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mariscal Sucre's protests and gave Xose Balbanea a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Gabilondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krikorian Carbezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Mauro Salvado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Gabilondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Eusebio Aranzubia put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Gabilondo. In the 68th minute, Yépez Francia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krikorian Carbezo in the 71st minute of play forced Mariscal Sucre's goalkeeper Juan Gabilondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Gabilondo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Krikorian Carbezo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Barcelona Sporting Club's Mauro Salvado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A collision led to Mariscal Sucre getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Pablo Govelo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Barcelona Sporting Club's Krikorian Carbezo got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 96 minutes, Marlon Berzosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona Sporting Club and the Mariscal Sucre players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marlon Berzosa kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Barcelona Sporting Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
