The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Hesles during the 3rd minute. Marquez Ochoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When CD Miguir's Ordóñez Frontera in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Xavian Prieto was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th minute, Xavian Prieto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Alejandro Abella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. René Vignal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute of the match, Rafael Espada tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marquez Ochoa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by SD Balda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Virgilio Heraña was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Miguir's players had a chance to rest. The corner led CD Miguir's Virgilio Heraña to fire away a dangerous shot which Marquez Ochoa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

CD Miguir's Juan-Pablo Felipez was substituted for Zenon Bispo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejandro Abella made a kick off. Alejandro Abella's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, René Vignal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ordóñez Frontera managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Miguir's supporters rose to their feet, but Ordóñez Frontera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquez Ochoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marquez Ochoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ordóñez Frontera, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When CD Miguir's Ordóñez Frontera in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. SD Balda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
