He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Elkin Lucena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atahualpa SC's goalkeeper Mane Varandalla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mane Varandalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Marty in the 37th minute.
