After 10 played minutes, Millonarios's Etxekopar Magadan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnas Cedrun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Millonarios reached it. Maore Barrientos hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, Bayern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseba Ahedo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseba Ahedo in the 19th minute of play forced Millonarios's goalkeeper Reynaldo Bojorquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Millonarios's Oton Campelo got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 23 minutes of play, Bayern's Joseba Ahedo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Bojorquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eliu Cejudo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evelio Dehesa charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Dehesa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Millonarios's Evelio Dehesa got a free kick in the 31st minute. Reynaldo Bojorquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseba Ahedo in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Aldomiro Chaniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bayern fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Bayern:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Millonarios:s goal. Arnas Cedrun had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Etxekopar Magadan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Etxekopar Magadan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Bayern's Arnas Cedrun. Arnas Cedrun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joseba Ahedo was the one to do the kick off. When Joseba Ahedo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Reynaldo Bojorquez was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Xzavaier Guinea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reynaldo Bojorquez. Millonarios's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joseba Ahedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Bojorquez made a huge save. Rosio Guardamiño's late challenge caught a Bayern's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rosio Guardamiño helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Millonarios's Rosio Guardamiño got a free kick in the 67th minute. Etxekopar Magadan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnas Cedrun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etxekopar Magadan, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the Millonarios defense, Eliu Cejudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Bojorquez. The Millonarios fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Bojorquez should have stopped the shot. Arnas Cedrun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garin Perrote, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Eliu Cejudo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynaldo Bojorquez, 1-5. After 81 played minutes Bayern got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Saladrigues. Arnas Cedrun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garin Perrote's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Bayern's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
