Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Perez Collantes made the kick off which started today's match. Napier Villarreal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Ibarra in the 3rd minute of the match. Inautzi Berria's late challenge caught a Coconuco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inautzi Berria helped the player get up and apologised. 7 minutes into the game, one of Damian:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Coconuco's Guter Balladares got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rolando Ladra. In the 17thth minute of the game Perez Collantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coconuco's Napier Villarreal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th match minute, Coconuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolo Arellano to maneuver through the defense. When Agustin Valenciaga came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Coconuco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Valenciaga couldn't finish the play. Richie Besosa's late challenge caught a Coconuco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richie Besosa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Damian's Richie Besosa got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match, Fernando Pellon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Ladra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 27th minute, Coconuco's Agustin Valenciaga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolando Ladra. Rolando Ladra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Rolando Ladra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Pellon in the 30th minute. Javier Ibarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Coconuco's goal looked a bit too open when Perez Collantes came free, but Napier Villarreal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Damian's Javier Ibarra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Napier Villarreal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 44 minutes, Taio Garcia made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Damian's Rolando Ladra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustin Valenciaga was the one to do the kick off. Javier Ibarras short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Napier Villarreal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manolo Arellano in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Ladra saved Damian from getting behind. Napier Villarreal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perez Collantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Javier Ibarra took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Napier Villarreal. Napier Villarreal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Agustin Valenciaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Agustin Valenciaga came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Coconuco fans jumped to their feet. If Fernando Pellon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Ibarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Napier Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perez Collantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. When Damian's Perez Collantes in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coconuco's goalie prevented a goal. Javier Ibarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Perez Collantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Napier Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Damian players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Coconuco.
