Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matxin Maliaño in the 5th minute of play. Alex Pedrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Yashin having to interfere. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isias Cembrana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matxin Maliaño in the 14th minute of play forced Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Tomás Angel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Conjunto Paisa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Vieja Guardia Jrs the free kick. After a rather tough play, Conjunto Paisa's Tomás Angel got a free kick in the 15th minute. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matxin Maliaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute of the match La Vieja Guardia Jrs got a corner. Conjunto Paisa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Curcio Caldevila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Curcio Caldevila made a great header on La Vieja Guardia Jrs's corner, it was just that Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin managed to reach the ball for a save. Tomás Angel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th match minute, Conjunto Paisa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refugio Colsa to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Matxin Maliaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Angel in the 33rd minute of play forced La Vieja Guardia Jrs's goalkeeper Koldobika Aponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Halit Fahri Berksan, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Angel got free with Koldobika Aponte in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Koldobika Aponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fix Zubiaur in the 40th minute of play. Isias Cembrana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Yashin having to interfere. A collision led to La Vieja Guardia Jrs getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Isias Cembrana hit a great ball. Matxin Maliaño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lev Yashin having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matxin Maliaño to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by Matxin Maliaño from a close distance when the talented Lev Yashin managed to make a qualified save. Conjunto Paisa's players were relieved. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Lev Yashin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isias Cembrana kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Aare Lätti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lev Yashin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Koldobika Aponte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Roig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Roman Gotfryd put in a rough tackle. In the 80th minute, Roman Gotfryd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Gotfryd hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Curcio Caldevila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lev Yashin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Vieja Guardia Jrs reached it. The supporters of Conjunto Paisa booed when La Vieja Guardia Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillelme Veraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Alberto Camudio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koldobika Aponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harriet Basabe in the 89th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
