After having played for 5 minutes, Kevin Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Guarenas's Marcial Llibre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napier Mañe in the 11th minute of play. After 17 played minutes CA Guarenas got a freekick which was hit by Eleazar Rolan. After 18 minutes, Xabel Natos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing club Calabozo and the CA Guarenas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CA Guarenas booed when Racing club Calabozo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xabel Natos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maties Mestanza stood somewhat misplaced when Kevin Abascal came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. If Tiger Waaentz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Llibre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiger Waaentz went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 29 played minutes Racing club Calabozo got a freekick which was hit by Martin Zalvide. Maties Mestanza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Abascal's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Marcial Llibre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chano Ter in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Tiger Waaentz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Llibre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, CA Guarenas's Kevin Abascal made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maties Mestanza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcial Llibre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiger Waaentz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiger Waaentz to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcial Llibre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiger Waaentz's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. A collision led to CA Guarenas getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Tello Montesinos hit a great ball. Marcial Llibre made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Tiger Waaentz sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute of the match Baldomiro Arrizabalaga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maties Mestanza skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th minute, Chano Ter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CA Guarenas's Baldomiro Arrizabalaga got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xabel Natos hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute of the match Vitin Cabezudo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maties Mestanza skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Abascal in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maties Mestanza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Eleazar Rolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, CA Guarenas's goal looked a bit too open when Tiger Waaentz came free, but Marcial Llibre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Xabel Natos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleazar Rolan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Chano Ter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Marcial Llibre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Abascal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maties Mestanza having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Kevin Abascal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maties Mestanza was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
