The tension between the Almunge IK and the South Santa Rosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Almunge IK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Minko Pehlivanov hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Norberto Silban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josh Dawkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marty Latham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trenton Kendall in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Norberto Silban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of South Santa Rosa booed when Almunge IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Argoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Josh Dawkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Matthew Woodard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. South Santa Rosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almunge IK the free kick. 30 minutes into the match, Almunge IK's goalkeeper Marty Latham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trenton Kendall. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Argoitz in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josh Dawkins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josh Dawkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Argoitz in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Enoch Chamberlain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almunge IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enoch Chamberlain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Argoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Josh Dawkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Norberto Silban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute of the match, Trenton Kendall got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marty Latham was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Enoch Chamberlain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almunge IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Enoch Chamberlain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josh Dawkins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trenton Kendall made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Almunge IK's goal looked a bit too open when Thurman Pringle came free, but Marty Latham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Almunge IK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Minko Pehlivanov hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enoch Chamberlain in the 60th minute of play forced South Santa Rosa's goalkeeper Josh Dawkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josh Dawkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Argoitz in the 64th minute of the match. Josh Dawkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Silban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Enoch Chamberlain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josh Dawkins. South Santa Rosa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enoch Chamberlain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Josh Dawkins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Argoitz's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Enoch Chamberlain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Dawkins having to interfere. Tomás Argoitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josh Dawkins having to make a save. In the 85th minute, Almunge IK's Tomás Argoitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Josh Dawkins. Josh Dawkins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After having played for 89 minutes, Tomás Argoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almunge IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Argoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
