Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Drew Blackman started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Stuart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Epperson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Stuart's Pedro Browne got control of the ball when Calvin Maddox tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dallas Jorgensen in the 16th minute of play forced San José State University's goalkeeper Tobias Hays to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Douglas Frost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Frost received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pedro Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Douglas Frost managed to get in a good position for a shot. San José State University's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Frost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Browne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Frost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Browne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Frost's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. If Korey Bain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the game, Stuart's Dallas Jorgensen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tobias Hays made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Dallas Jorgensen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Hays. San José State University's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dallas Jorgensen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Douglas Frost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Browne having to interfere. Calvin Maddox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Stuart booed when San José State University was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korey Bain didn't get a good kick on the ball.
Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Frost in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Browne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobias Hays made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dallas Jorgensen in the 62nd minute. If Douglas Frost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Korey Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Frost in the 73rd minute of play forced Stuart's goalkeeper Pedro Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Dallas Jorgensen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Lane Garland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Browne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes Stuart's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lane Garland who took care of the corner kick. 85 minutes into the game, Dallas Jorgensen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stuart's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San José State University the free kick. Dallas Jorgensen hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Tommie Sweet charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommie Sweet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Tommie Sweet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Hays was a little too slow when Drew Blackman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-3. Korey Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Browne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Frost, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
