Sammy Beck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sammy Beck came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Westchester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sammy Beck couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute Everett De La Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josiah Covington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josiah Covington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Neal in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sammy Beck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Renteria was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Sammy Beck spun around in front of the goal 20 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pacific Grove's goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sammy Beck to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 96th minute, Louie Neal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pacific Grove fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Westchester supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pacific Grove's performance. The match ended with a win for Pacific Grove.
