The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Nigel Guevara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Ash in the 9th minute of play forced Rochester City's goalkeeper Luis Case to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes, Cason McQueen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macalin S.A.D and the Rochester City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Cason McQueen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Gavin Kay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Case saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rochester City's zone, Javier Ash stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Case came out of the goal and Javier Ash tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rochester City getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Adrian Newby hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Javier Ash ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Case was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Fink's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bryant Ortiz was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Javier Ash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Luis Case tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Fink kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gavin Kay might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Case. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavin Kay ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gavin Kay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Adrian Newby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rochester City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macalin S.A.D the free kick. Adrian Newby kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Luis Case showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Kay in the 45th minute of the match. The Rochester City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Macalin S.A.D were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nigel Guevara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Case made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Ash in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Kelly Cope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes, Rochester City's Kris Dawkins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bryant Ortiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rochester City reached it. Rochester City's Nigel Guevara got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavin Kay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Ash in the 74th minute of play forced Rochester City's goalkeeper Luis Case to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes of play, Macalin S.A.D's Gavin Kay made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Case was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Rochester City's Luis Case got control of the ball when Gavin Kay tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute Javier Ash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Case saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Macalin S.A.D supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Macalin S.A.D would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
